      • allow searching near location other than current

        When planning a trip it will be useful to be able to search for stuff around where you will be, before you get there. This should be supported on the UI in addition to the default of current location.

        • Offer a database dump to download

          Since the data is in ODBL and creative commons, there should be a way to download a dump of the data on the website.

            • allow locations to be added and kept private

              Currently all locations and notes are public. Allow private locations to be created and seen only by the creator of the place, or shared with only people the user allows.

                Some predefined tags to check of would be nice. Easier to select than to type on the iPhone :) Also they could be localized.

                  Every new app needs something tweeting :) But something like the http://brightkite.com/ tweets "I'm at ... and I like ..." might be interesting to some.

                  • Allow use of the application through the website (not only by using a smartphone)

                    It seems that wordonthestreet can only be used by iphone or mac owners. It would be nice & usefull to be able to use it through the standard web site
